How Does Erb’s Palsy Occur?

Complications during birth can cause bodily injuries that have lifelong psychological effects. One type of birth injury, called Erb’s Palsy or Erb-Duchenne Palsy, can stunt the growth of a baby’s arm and severely limit the arm’s functionality.

Sadly, this type of birth defect does not always have to happen. Medical negligence causes many cases of Erb’s Palsy. The delivering obstetrician turns the infant’s head as the shoulders pass through the birth canal. Erb’s palsy can also result when the doctor exerts pressure on the baby’s arms during a feet first (breech) delivery.

What We Can Do to Help

Our firm cannot reverse the birth injuries your child has suffered. What we can do is to seek the compensation that can make your child’s life easier, now and throughout your child’s life. We will undertake a determined legal effort designed to document the negligence of the medical provider and obtain full compensation for you. Your child deserves nothing less.
